Modiin
Dear list
Before this gets out of hand, here is a clarification
of what I wrote:
I wrote to Julie Beja that this
country in certain areas is run like a third world country- For
instance, the governmental dealing with environmental issues is worse than in a
lot of third world countries:
Examples-the government in Israel does not use
recycled paper, It is cheaper to throw waste in garbage dumps than to recycle,
There are no incentives to promote public transportation, Here is very little
incentive to pave bike lanes, The government does not encourage recycling of
glass, aluminium, organic matters The government is putting up another coal run
electric power plant which is not used anymore hardly
In other fields in
Israel there are third world policies and that is a shame since in many other
fields we are at the top of the class.
To ralph and co:
Im sure you
mean only good,
but before running to write things you are not sure of - call
or write first for clarifications.
Regards
Alex Weinreb
Deputy
Mayor
